The Volusia/Flagler Business Report welcomes submissions of press releases, news tips, announcements of recent new hires and promotions and upcoming local business events.

Calendar items should be submitted at least 30 days before the actual event and should include a brief description, the company or organization putting on the event, the date, time and location (including street address) and a phone number for more information.
People on the Move submissions, which can not be returned, must state the name of the person hired or promoted, the name of the company and city in which it is located, as well as the person’s previous job title and (for new hires) name of that person’s previous employer. The submission must be accompanied by a color photograph (headshots only; 300 dpi preferred) of the person. The announcement and photograph should be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each issue of the Business Report includes an updated list of the Volusia-Flagler area’s largest companies within a particular industry. A schedule of the lists for 2007 can be found on the home page for this Web site by clicking “2007 planning calendar.” If you would like to submit company data for an upcoming list, please email us at email@example.com
The Business Report regularly publishes photos of recent business gatherings in the Volusia-Flagler area. To submit photos from your event for possible inclusion in our “Business Scene” section, e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Send us your photos (please limit one photo per e-mail; 300 dpi preferred), along with a brief description of what the event was about, when and where it was held, and the names, titles and companies of the people seen in the photo. Please also include the name of the photographer, as well as a daytime telephone number that we can call if we have further questions.
Opinions/Guest Commentaries/Letters to the Editor Another regular feature in the Business Report is our Opinion section, which includes guest commentaries and letters to the editor. We welcome submissions from the public. Guest commentaries should be of a business-related topic, limited to 600 words, and not of a self-promotional nature. Authors of guest commentary articles should include a brief description of themselves at the end of the story that includes their name, title, name of company, city where they are located, daytime telephone number and e-mail address. Guest commentaries should be specifically geared towards business topics, and should be generated by the actual person who is being credited as the author, and not by the author’s company. Letters to the editor should be limited to 250 words, and must include the name of the author, city where the author is located, and a daytime telephone number for verification purposes.
